That Trip to Calaguas, Camarines Norte

That Trip to Calaguas, Camarines Norte

Calaguas Island is located in Camarines Norte, one of the provinces in the Bicol Region, Philippines. It is one of nature’s gift to mankind. To date, it is still considered as one of those “virgin beaches” in the country. No electricity, no buildings, no anything (except for a bunch of cottages on the northern part of the stretch, which I later on discovered as Waling-waling beach resort). It has been three months since I went to Calaguas and fortunately, after overcoming the critical phase of my previous project (yes, work) and…

Supertrees Grove, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Supertrees Grove, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

For a small country, Singapore does things rather HUGE. They don’t just do simple things. They just reclaim 101 hectares of land, put up Gardens by the Bay, and of course, place the space-needle-like-UFO-like Super Trees. Gardens by the Bay is conveniently located by the Marina Bay, easily accessible through the MRT at the Bayfront stop. A leisurely walk from the MRT for around 10 minutes or so would bring you across the bay. By October 2014, we finally got there! 🙂 Surprisingly for us, we also found the Marina Bay…

Walking the Night Away, Singapore

Walking the Night Away, Singapore

Singapore is one of those countries that most of my friends have immediately ticked down in their travel list. Some of them have moved there for greener pastures as well. As for me, it took me a while. Not that I don’t want to, but for some reason, I’ve delayed my travel thoughts when it came to Singapore. I must admit, it, being a highly modern city is one of the factors. At the moment, I still couldn’t get enough of everything ancient and historical… and Singapore is the opposite. But…

One Of Those Nice Visits: BenCab Museum, Benguet

One Of Those Nice Visits: BenCab Museum, Benguet

One of the most visited destinations in the Philippines is Baguio City. Known as the summer capital of the country, it has an all-year-round cold weather due to its location at the mountainous province of Benguet. Although Baguio has become quite commercialized, I still consider this city a bit cozy as compared to Manila. A few establishments did not hurt. The pollution though is a different story. Growing up, I’ve visited Baguio countless of times. I was really young and I remember only going there as a guest to my mom’s company outing….

More than Half a Year of Absence: So Far… So Good!

More than Half a Year of Absence: So Far… So Good!

That Side of Baguio, As Viewed from BenCab Museum It’s hard to believe I haven’t put anything for more than half a year! Allow me to summarize. Excuses… Excuses… So, just to give myself the satisfaction of “justifying” my absence, let me tell you that I had been very very busy. I started working again last December (2013) and THAT is eating up most of my time. It’s been more than a year post surgery and yes, I’ve started to go out and about again! 🙂 For some reason, my weekends are usually full. Then there’s…
